Path Ride: Santiago Oaks - 08/20/2006

Orange, CA.  Fifteen riders, yes fifteen riders for today’s Path ride.  We headed over to Santiago Oaks, but thanks to Shitty and John, I was able to mix up the route a bit.  Up Zips, down Mr. Wiggly’s, up Hang Ten, down Bobcat, out to Serrano and up, up the 3rd Bitch, down and out Zips.  Good times.

Not too many pictures today and I left the helmet cam at home since I’m recovering from my “Slut Drop” incident.

Tani nears the top of Zips:

    What’s a little hike-a-bike among friends…up Hang Ten:

The drop up top that I like to call the “Ledge Drop.”

    Durfee:

    Mutz:

    Tani:

I hit the “Ledge Drop” no problem and left the “Slut Drop” alone for next time.

J.P. shows up and does a nice job on one of the big rollers:

As Eric the Midget would say, “Bye for now.”

Fun ride today with a big group!!

With my plane ticket already purchased for my trip to Washington next month, no Ledge Drop for me todayHmm [^o)]

I got a few pictures of Jon, Tani, and Mutz airing it out on the hip jump.......

Up Hang 10?!?!?  I'm sure that made you a popular guide... almost looks like Tani cleaned the left line at the top of Zips, good work...  jp looks like he could be the guy we see on Thursday nights sans the helmet (good work on the big rollers, with a helmet nonetheless, maybe that's the next adventure on the 7point)...

Sounds like it was a great ride, especially with the big group.

The key ingredient to a good Path ride is a little hike-a-bike mixed in.  Big Smile [:D]

I remember Tani and Durfee cleaning the last climbing section up Zips.

JP (rides and Uzzi VPX) is Henry's friend and not sans helmet Stinky guy.  Henry reports that he is a month away from riding again, which is great news.

Raul was out on his freshly painted Kona Stab Bear Primo.  (I dropped the ball and didn't get a picture.  I mean it’s like a bigfoot sighting at this point of Raul's riding career.)

Pat has transformed himself into a climbing machine.  I think he is ready for a large 7Point7.  (Make it happen Tani.)  Wink [;)]

Durfee was getting some nice height on the hip jump.

Coming down Zips I was behind Mutz, he took the left line and I took the "slingshot center line," we almost collided at the exit.  Phew!

Thanks Winston!  I don't know if I would go as far as a climbing maching but I'm workin on it.  After I get the geared bike together I will start thinking about more squish.  Maybe there's a 7point7 demo in my future.  Wink [;)]

Yeah Pat, you're definately getting faster, as I witnessed climbing Ridge Park Rd a few weeks back..  We need to get you on a beefier rig to slow you down, so you can keep us company in the back of the pack  :)

You can even ride my 7point7, which already has pedals to match your cleats on it.
