Orange, CA. Nice weather for today’s Path ride. Temps didn’t get above 80 today.
Since it’s opening day in the NFL we kept the ride simple at Santiago Oaks. Up Zips, down Goat, up the Bitches, play, down, down Zips and out.
This was my first ride on my freshly rebuilt rear wheel. This year’s 823 is a little taller than the old one it replaced. Hopefully this Path built wheel with hold up better than the nice factory built wheel it replaced.
Bling:

Cow got the crashing started when we arrived at the wash. (Fortunately for him, my camera was not ready.)
Then Pat’s friend crashed and burned:

Time for that lovely climb up Zips. I hide myself just below the bridge to get a few pictures.

Now for the technical challenge of Goat.
Who is this hiding in the bushes?

Why, it’s…

Time to finish up Goat.

Brian sneaks his way into the show:

Darin bought new elbow pads this weekend.
Time to test them out Crash Maxwell style:

So which chest protector does The Path recommend? Crash Maxwell was uninjured and gave his new 661 elbow pads a thumbs up. He said they were cool and comfortable enough to wear the entire ride.
A Curious George band-aid on Darin’s Stinky:

I’m happy to report that Lacey beat Darin handily up the 3 Bitches to win herself a slice of cheesecake. Nice job Lacey!
Now for the play area fun.

Good ride today guys and the Rams are 1-0 thanks to a much improved defense. (Or Jake Plummer.)
