    The Path Buoy Ride

Finally!  I've managed to get these pics and recap done.  Last Saturday was the first Buoy ride.  It was a great time at a leisurely pace and some great refreshments at the half-way mark.  The ride started at Tusting Brewing Company, meandered over to the Peter's Canyon bike trail, and made a turnaround about 3/4 way through the Backbay trail.  What an epic ride to do on a summer day as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.

Although not officially lead by anyone, there was a strong Path Bike Shop contingent that showed up for the ride.  There were a plethora of fixies and singlespeeds, a tandem bike, and some serious looking roadies...

People hooked up early at the Tustin Brewing Company for some pre-ride warm up activities...(Props to Jason and the rest of the TBC crew for helping to host the pre-ride and post-ride festivities).

I wonder if Dr. Moesser wants this picture for his advertising material?

The Doctor on a tandem with his stoker

Mondo (aka Squeaky Bike Guy - one of the pedals on his bike was in serious need of some lube).

    Heading down Peter's Canyon Trail.

To quote a great cyclist, "...an impenetrable wall of argyle..."

Kimi, Paulina, and Jaime cruising the path.

All in all, it was a fantastic ride with more refreshments and a free screening of, "Breaking away" at the TBC following the ride.

    Ciao.
