First ride on Thanksgiving day dft and I decided to head off and do a quick assault on Iron Mtn and Ellie Lane. Dft's spread once we reached the summit of Iron Mtn. was classic. He had to ditch the notorious Green T-shirt with cutoff sleeves and his maroon sweatshirt (which comes out during this time of the year for the cold morinings) and lay them out to dry before we started the descent. Dt was also sporting Nick's nicely equipped Heckler since the Roco on the Stinky went south last weekend.
Friday Darren my bro-inlaw hit Noble and Indian Creek with Woody and had a great ride. I took some shots but really, none were worth posting since every square inch has been photograpehd over the years. Great ride though.
On Saturday afternoon I decided to show Darren what SoCal looks like after a good fire. So, I took him to one of my favorite new xc'ish loops down in South County. With the burn I will definetely be scoping out some new trail possibilities there are some nice steep cliffs with exposure. Darren hasn't ridden in appx. 2mos. but like the JOD he steps up and punches through the pain.
The lighting seemed good so I got a bit carried away with the camera.
In the next couple of hours I'll be off to the hospital with my wife and we hope to have a new addition by tomorrow afternoon.
