This past weekend Shitty and I hit Woodward West for the final SRC Cal State DH race of the season. (4 races.)
I met Shitty at his house Saturday morning at 5 am. We would arrive at Woodward at 8 am. Practice kicked off at 9 am.

I must say after my first run I was extremely disappointed with the course. It was the longest, but it also had the most traversing. I would have to rate the spring course as my favorite and last year’s course 2nd. As the day wore on and I started riding it faster, it got better.

Come Sunday morning, Shitty, Skullcrack and I got in a few practice runs. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the course had been fixed up the night before.

Big Willie usually wins our class or finishes in the top 3. He had busted himself up on Saturday trying to turn the double at the bottom into a triple.
My second race run went fine as well. I felt faster in some places and slower in others. Overall I thought I had done worse, but I still had plenty of energy left to get back to the double for some pics.
