    Re: Fontucky WS #6 - DH - 03/25/2007

I just got back from the final SRC Winter Series Race out in Fontucky. I was relegated to photographer, cheerleader, and dog walker after getting knocked cold in a crash during Saturday’s practice. I can’t believe what a presence The Bike Co. and The Path had today out in Fontucky. Both shops have done such a great job getting their customers and employees involved in the local race seen. I absolutely love it! SoCal racing really needs this type of grassroots support. I’ll start posting photos I shot later this evening. Congratulations to everyone that raced the series.

I think we will be seeing that Stu/Lux photo for years to come.  LOL.

It was very cool of the Bike Co to supply the bubbly.  Of course at first I thought to myself, "Oh crap, must protect camera!"

    Re: Fontucky WS #6 - DH - 03/25/2007

I had the opportunity to chase Winston down the hill at the season finale of the Winter Series at Fontucky…dang it, he beat me by 3 seconds…lol.  My hat’s off to Winston finishing 5th overall.

Here are a few images from this weekend’s race:

    Stu & Rob

Olcott hammering through one of the loose turns on the upper section.

Tani was injured and sat, watching the entire race…only moving when Paulina came blasting past his post.

Nice, plus Carla in second.  Carla was able to keep the Beginner kids at bay this week.  Another racing goal accomplished!

Thanks for the encouragement Winston! I'm new to all this DH riding/racing right now, but I aspire to be a Maxine one day in the future...

And thanks to Chris for posting the pic of Sherri and me!
