    Trialsin' on a Sunday Afternoon...

Uncle Nathan and I headed over to Tewinkle park in Costa Mesa for an afternoon of triasin.  The rock garden at the park has come to be known by local trials riders as a mecca of ‘natty style trials in the OC.

Although this isn't your "traditional" aggressive and technical bike riding it takes supreme balance, strong core muscles, and is, IMHO, one of the most, "technical" styles of riding.  Good trials riders have my ultimate respect.

    Here’s Nathan contemplating the rocks.

Not only is Nathan one of the smoother technical trail riders I know, he’s also got some mad trials skills.  Here he does a pedal-up onto a rock, then manuals off the edge.

Another pedal-up onto a rock section followed by a rear wheel drop to the ground.

There you have it, a great way to spend an afternoon in a small area working on a semi-geeky, but extremely cool riding style...I'll get there one day...baby steps, baby steps.

    Very cool Auk.  Thanks.

Uncle Nathan is one hell of a rider in my book.
