A few years ago I was invited by some business partners to a Kings game at Staples. We were 9 guys, they also bought 2-3 rounds of beer. At the second period, I decided to buy a round to say thank you. I order beer and almost fell when the guy said $90. They're killing the attendances with the prices. The forum was a lot better.

BTW, I just saw that Montreal is coming March 8 in LA and March 9 in Anaheim. I will try to see both games.  

The Future is not now:

Jonathan Bernier was sent back to juniors this morning. Jean-Sebastien Aubin was activated from the injured list. Final tally for Bernier was a 1-3 record with 16 goals allowed.

``It's not an indictment on his play, it's more of a reflection of where the team is at right now,'' coach Marc Crawford said. ``We always are concerned about the long-term development of all our players and, right now, the decision has been that (returning to juniors) probably is the environment that is conducive to his long-term development. Kings win, Kings win!!!  Their first win of the season in North America.

Plus Minnisota suffers their first loss of the season.  (Shoot out loss.)  Gotta love the shootout, way better than the ties we used to get.

I've watched all but the Kings loss to the Ducks in London.  This was the first time since game 1 where the Kings didn't have a meltdown.

A small glimmer of hope!  Kopitar and Cammy sure are snipers.

Crawford on scratching Nagy: ``We just didn't feel he's played at the level he needs to play at, and we wanted to give him a real strong message that you've got to be a lot better. You've got to be strong with the puck and you've got to play a strong team game. Let's face it, he's paid to play strong with the puck in the offensive zone and to make things happen and not get knocked off the puck, and that's what we expect from him. He'll get an opportunity again and we expect more from him. He's paid to be a top scorer in this league and he needs to perform like that.''  (I know I didn't miss him tonight.)

Finally!!!  The Kings beat the Stars.  It had been over a year and half.  Plus it had been over a year since the Kings last won 3 in a row.

LaBarbera is hot right now.  The entire team is scoring.  The Kings don't leave California for awhile.  Great time to be a Kings fan.

Yeah, um, we didn't go. We went up to LA for New Years eve to see a concert. We were planning on going to the game on New Years day.  Anyway, she got sick on New Years Eve night at the stroke of midnight.  Luckily, she didn't drink anything or it probably would have been worse.  I traded my tickets at the box office for a game in Feb.

Thanks Pat.  Hope springs enternal before the first game of the season.  I just hope the Kings stay healthy and start to be a force 2 to 3 years from now.

I'm still hopeful that the Ducks will move to Portland.  I can dream.

Now fire up them DVRs.  The Kings will be introducing their Ice Girls (a new addition) tomorrow morning on KTLA.  The will be segments during the 6, 7 & 8 am hours.
