    Path Ride: Santiago Oaks - 07/16/2006

    Orange, CA.  Boy has the temperature risen since my last Path ride 3 weeks ago.  Temps were in the mid to upper 80’s.  Hot, hot, hot in the sun, but not too bad when the clouds intervened.

    Several new faces this week, plus an old one with Christian visiting from Oregon.  Always good to see him when he visits each year.

    Well nothing kills the desire for the guys to play around and for me to shoot photos like a hot day, but I did hang in there to get this nice sequence of Fergus on Bobcat:

    Even after 7 weeks off the bike, Fergus was just fine as you will see in the video.

    Videos:

    Bobcat (Please right click and select Save Target As…)

    Eat your heart out Gerrit, Christian takes his rigid bike down Bobcat.  Plus, Fergus goes OTB.

    Duration = 3:46

    File size = 32.9 MB

    From the top to the bottom of Zips (Please right click and select Save Target As…)

    A dusty good time.

    Duration = 6:08

    File size = 53.9 MB

    A get well soon goes out to Henry, who reportedly broke his wrist on one arm and broke his elbow on the other.  (Not on this ride.)  Remember to keep those hands in and tuck and roll when you are going down.

    One more thing, rumor has it that Tani will be rocking his 29er next week…stay tuned!

    Great to see you're back on the bike Fergus. I know you were going stir crazy not being able to ride. Nice form on the pogo-endo. ;)

    Bummer to hear about Henry, any word on how/where he did it?

    I was hoping to come back with style...the trick is to land on something soft.  I just figured since Maxwell wasn't there...

    I think he did it in El Moro when we were there a couple of weeks ago.

    I like the part Zips video around the 50 second mark where I almost lose it dropping in near the powerline. ; P

    Yep, I got a good chuckle out of that.  Nice riding with you.

    Oh how I miss trail riding..  Thanks for the pics and vids as usual Winston, helps keep the spirit alive when we can't be there :)

    Doh, that sucks about the wrist and elbow Henry, heal fast man..  Never fun to be off the bike.

    So whats this about Tani on a 29er next weekend?  Maybe I'll just show up on my 29er SS.. I've been itching to get that thing out on a real trail.
